Aromatherapy oils are often used as healing therapy and are generally used in massages, which is an added bonus. Massages can help during physiotherapy and even lower blood pressure. It is even possible to massage oneself. A massage can take as long or as little time as you like, depending on the time available to you. Many people receive quick massages on their lunch breaks from work because it gives them a much needed pick me up to get them through the afternoon

The act of manipulating body tissue can cause tight muscles to relax and even increase circulation in the body, especially the joints. Due to the increased blood circulation, the skin can look better, becoming clearer and more toned. This is probably why many facials include some form of a face massage. Care should be taken that massages are not carried out on areas of the skin that are sore, cut, burned or covered in varicose veins. Although most people benefit from stress relief massage therapy, some are simply not comfortable with a stranger massaging their body and will not enjoy a massage session no matter how beneficial it can be.
